NFF begs Senate for ‘enabling environment’ to run Nigeria football

Amaju Pinnick (Supplied) Abuja - Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has appealed to the Senate to create an enabling environment for his administration to run football in the country, Sportdaylive reports.

Pinnick made the statement during a visit, alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino and Secretary General Fatma Samoura, to the office of senate president Bukola Saraki in Abuja on Monday.
“We have tried, we want to do it. We were elected two years ago, right from the time we were elected till date we have not had a minute of peace, so we want to use this opportunity to crave the senate to say that we are all-desiring, passion driven to write the right history, we have this global recognition, what we want is the enabling environment for us to carry out our programmes.
There has been long battle between the recognized president of the NFF Amaju Pinnick, and acclaimed chairman Chris Giwa over the leadership of the body.
According to News24, Giwa had in previous occasions stormed the Glass House in an attempt to forcefully carry out a claimed court order to replace Pinnick as the president of the embattled FA.
