Why Muslims Going For Hajj Have To Buy Dollars For N197 – FG

 
The presidency has explained why it ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to sell dollars at N197 to Muslims going for Hajj.
According to Garba Shehu, Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, the subsidy had already been approved months before and prior to the new Forex regime.

He also stressed that the subsidy was in no discriminatory as the same subsidy was also extended to Christian pilgrims this year.
