Africa’s leading digital and interactive marketing agency, Street Toolz, has announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Ernest as its new Chief Operating Officer. The appointment, which takes immediate effect according to the agency, was announced in Lagos on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

Michael Ernest, who joined the agency as an intern years ago, rose through the ranks and, until his appointment, served as VP Accounts and Client Services, overseeing accounts such as British Council, UAC, Union Bank Plc., Property mart, Grenadines Homes, Leadway Assurance amongst others.

The new COO takes up the position with a massive wealth of experience of operations and agency workings at Digital Shed, where he would be overseeing the agency’s day-to-day business operations, marketing strategy, planning and other digital innovations.
Michael, 29, holds a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland and a BSc in Marine Science from the University of Calabar, Cross River, Nigeria. He is also a Digital Marketing Institute certified trainer, as well as a Google Adwords certified expert.

A very dedicated and result-oriented individual with a solid background in content marketing, strategy and interactive media, Michael has worked as an account manager for years, exploring the digital world.
Commenting on his appointment, the VP, People, Mr. Babajide Alaka, said, “Michael’s appointment is part of the repositioning by the agency for the future, ahead of its approval from AAAN and APCON to run as a full marketing communications agency, in its bid to expand services to major African markets in 2017.
On his part, the agency’s CEO, Jerry Oche, urged members of staff, partners, clients and stakeholders to extend their support to the new COO. “As we expand across the continent, let us all join hands in support of this leadership, in our continued stride to deliver quality digital marketing solutions and move the agency to the top,” he said.
Founded in 2011 with the belief that user experience, interactivity and engagement, not advertising, is the key to successful brand building and marketing, Street Toolz has continuously broken new grounds across Africa, providing top digital solutions and building other quality startups such as Zowasel.
