Chelsea’s fairy-tale run in the Premier League continued on Sunday as they edged past Middlesbrough 1-0. It is the sixth consecutive Premier League win for the Blues and the result means they go top of the Premier League table.

Boro might be newly promoted but they’ve earned a reputation for resolute defending while hitting teams on the counterattack. It was the formula with which they beat Manchester City but against Sunday, they could not manage a similar feat.
The first half was a one-sided affair as Chelsea pinned the hosts back and created a ton of chances. Superb defending and a wonderful Victor Valdés save was all that kept Boro in it until the 41st minute.
Diego Costa pounced on a confusion in the box to slice his shot home to give the Blues the lead.
