
It
 has been 65 years since Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning 
monarch in British history, ascended to the throne, she has been Queen 
of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand since 6 
February 1952.
On 6 February 2017, she 
became the first British monarch to celebrate the Sapphire Jubilee 
marking sixty-five years of her reign.
