The TV star is "badly shaken" after being locked in her bathroom while jewellery worth several million pounds is taken.
Kim
Kardashian has been tied up and had a gun held against her temple by
robbers who stole millions of pounds worth of jewellery, according to
reports.
Five armed men carried out the raid at about 3am local time.
A police source told Reuters that two of them entered Kardashian's apartment, holding a handgun to her head before tying her up.
Wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings, they then locked her in the bathroom before escaping on bicycles.
The robbers, who remain at large, were let into the building near the historic Madeleine Church in the 8th arrondissement by the concierge, police said.
He then apparently led them to Kardashian's flat at gunpoint after being handcuffed.
Officers later found him on the staircase with his hands and feet bound.
The police source said a jewellery box had been taken containing a ring worth four million euros (£3.5m), as well as other valuables worth between five and six million euros (£4.4 - £5.2m).
It happened as Kardashian attended the French capital's fashion week.
She was "badly shaken but physically unharmed," a spokeswoman said.
Kardashian has since left France on a private jet after talking to detectives.
The apartment block is close to the Elysee Palace and British Embassy.
"Only stars stay there," said a waiter at a cafe opposite.
"Kim Kardashian has been there for a week, I have seen her coming and going."
Accommodation is said to cost up to 15,000 euros (£13,000) a night.
Kardashian also stayed there before her wedding to rapper Kanye West in 2014.
Police were seen guarding the entrance on Monday.
West cut short a concert in the US following the incident.

In footage shot by fans, he is heard saying, "I'm sorry, I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show" - before walking off stage.
It has not been confirmed whether Kim and Kanye's children - North, three, and Saint, nine months - were with her at the time.
Kardashian, 35, had been photographed on Sunday evening at a Givenchy fashion show with her sister Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner, and was later reportedly seen out for dinner at a local restaurant.
Last week, Kardashian reportedly filed a police complaint after she was ambushed by a prankster as she entered a Parisian restaurant.
